Human Rights Are Under Attack: Windham Denounces Biden’s Executive Order
LINCOLN -- Schuyler Windham, candidate for Nebraska State Legislature LD 26 (Northeast Lincoln) denounces President Biden’s executive order as a severe human rights violation.
All people deserve the dignity to make choices for their own health and body. The human right to self-ownership and the autonomy to make decisions for ourselves is fundamental to a free society.
The executive order signed by Biden on Thursday attempting to implement vaccine mandates is a cruel violation of personal freedom and an unconstitutional abuse of the federal government’s power. Not only does it infringe on private health decisions of Americans, the order and coercion surrounding it harkens back to that dark era of our history where the government violated human rights, citing the abhorrent justification that the violation is for “the common good” or “our safety.” (See U.S. Supreme Court case Korematsu v. United States and Jacobson v. Massachusetts.)
“The principle that sustains compulsory vaccination is broad enough to cover cutting the Fallopian tubes (Jacobson v Massachusetts, 197 US 11). Three generations of imbeciles are enough,” wrote Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes in the chilling Buck v. Bell opinion on forced sterilization. This abhorrent legal decision by our courts opened the floodgates to eugenicists. By 1930, 24 states had passed involuntary sterilization laws and around 60,000 women were ultimately sterilized under these statutes.
Never again will we let them use weak justifications under the guise of the common good to violate our human rights.
This was never about public health, evidenced by the lack of mandates on fast food consumption and lack of recommendations to actually improve health outcomes to better resist diseases such as reducing inflammation and exercising. This is about government control over our bodies and decisions, not ensuring we live healthy lives. We will continue to call out the hypocrisy of any government official who claims this is about protecting people.
The ends never justify the means. The compassionate policy is to let people have the freedom and dignity of choice over our own bodies. People are already free to choose distancing from others if they do not feel comfortable going out in public and to willingly take vaccines or wear masks for their own health risk analysis.
As Dr. Ron Paul once warned years ago: “The rise of mandatory and forced vaccination legislation should send a chill up every single American spine. That government can force you to accept any kind of medicine and inject you against your will is totalitarianism at its worst! This egregious form of state power is metastasizing.”
The federal government has no business mandating our choices over our own bodies. The U.S. Constitution clearly forbids the government from depriving any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law. Nebraskans, not the federal government, are responsible for taking charge of our personal health. We will resist any unconstitutional mandate from the federal government and will use civil disobedience against any infringement of our inherent health freedom whether at the local, state, or federal level.
“I respect my neighbors’ individual liberties here in Nebraska. Government does not know you and your unique situation. You know what’s best for you and your family,” Schuyler Windham, a lawyer who has studied Constitutional and human rights law, explains. “Together, we will resist these human rights abuses.”
You have the power to decide what is best for you. The executive order is not a law which can be enforced by the federal government. We live in a Constitutional Republic, not a dictatorship. Never let anyone pressure you into something you do not feel comfortable with. No one can force you to do anything to your body against your will.
Elect bold leaders who will defend your freedoms. Stand up for your bodily autonomy!

Thank you for defending the freedom of all people! Together, we will live freely with compassion for our neighbors.
